The prosecutor cites differences in the evaluation of evidence. Both police investigators and the district court had taken evidence into account differently than one would do today, the office of the public prosecutor says. Earlier this year, Thomas Quick had taken back some of the confessions he made during the investigations in the 1990s and applied for a new trial.
