The first doses of the swine flu vaccine will arrive in Sweden on Friday. The delivery of between 600,000 and 700,000 doses will then be distributed among different municipalities, which will subsequently begin administering the vaccination campaign.
Only a small amount of swine flu cases have been diagnosed in Sweden, however. New statistics from the Swedish Institute for Infectious Disease Control cite 1,487 confirmed cases, with 52 coming last week.
Nevertheless, vaccinations should begin within the next week, news wire TT reports.
