Another Swede in Pakistan Jail

A Swedish man is in Pakistani custody waiting to be deported, having been seized on suspicion of entering the country illegally. This news comes just days after four Swedes arrived home at the weekend after being arrested in Pakistan

The 35-year old is being held in Quetta after being arrested in Baluchistan at the beginning of August and sentenced to ten days in prison and also a fine and deportation. He entered Pakistan via Iran, reports broadsheet Dagens Nyheter.

The man is expected to be transferred to Islamabad for deportation shortly, but there is no date announced yet. Barbro Elm at the Swedish Foreign Ministry says that there are no other details of Swedes in prison in Pakistan.
