Sven in his time as England boss

Svennis Rules Out Sweden Job

Sven Göran Eriksson won't be taking over as Sweden's new football manager, according to TV4 sport.

The channel reports that the head of the Swedish Football Association Lars-Åke Lagrell has told them that Eriksson rang Lagrell from Korea on Tuesday and said that he wouldn't be able to take the job if offered because the owners of his club Notts County have forbidden him.

The former England and Mexico manager signed a five year contract as Director fo Football with the english second division side in July this year.

Lars-Åke Lagrell went on to say that Eriksson hadn't been offered the job and was just one of a number of candidates for the position left vacant following Lars Lagerbäck's resignation last week.
