The Swedish economy is going to do better than previously predicted, according to Swedish Finance Minister Anders Borg. New government figures claim that the economy will grow by no less than 2 percent next year, compared to a previous forecast of just 0.6 percent.

At a presentation, the minister claimed that will be one of the first countries to get out of the recession and that Denmark and Sweden have the strongest public finances of all industrialised countries.
