School's Out for 370 Pupils

Published söndag 15 november 2009 kl 10.50

There'll be no school on Monday or Tuesday for pupils in classes 6 to 9 at Torslanda School in Gothenburg after the school was burnt to the ground by arsonists overnight on Friday.

School officials are now trying to find places at neighbouring schools for the 370 pupils who have no school to attend.

An information meeting between parents and teachers will be held on Monday morning. Even classes for younger pupils will be closed on Monday because of smoke fumes still in the air. The fire was started after a burning car was put next to the school building causing flames to spread rapidly to the school roof. Police are investigating.
