Dutch To Invade Arvidsjaur

Almost 500 Dutch soldiers are to invade Northern Sweden at the beginning of next year, in what will be the biggest set of military exercises by foreign troops in Sweden yet.

The Swedish military is actively trying to get foreign troops to train in Sweden, according to Swedish Radio news in the north of the country, as a way to make money and use facilities hit by Swedish army cutbacks.

The Dutch will practice fighting in sub-Arctic conditions, with Swedes giving training in cross-country skiing.
