Police raid against suspected right extremists

Survey: Unbalance in Prosecuting Political Violence

Swedish legal authorities have a tendency to prosecute more cases of right extremist violence than similar acts committed by leftist militants, daily Göteborgs Posten reports. According to a survey published by the paper, of 180 recorded acts of violence by so-called anti-fascist groups in western Sweden over the last three years only one led to indictment.

During the same time period several misdemeanors and crimes with supposedly racist motives committed by right-wing extremists were taken up in court, the paper reports.
