A stranded train in western Sweden

Southern Sweden Hit by Heavy Snow

Heavy snow has caused problems in the south and along the Baltic coast. There have been many traffic accidents, and many foreign trucks have slid off highways.

Trains and bus traffic have been affected, and Stockholm’s city airport, Bromma, was closed for an hour Thursday afternoon.

The speed limit was reduced to 70 kilometers an hour on the Öresund bridge between Malmö and the Danish capital Copenhagen.
