Inflation Again

For the first time since April 2009, Sweden’s economy is registering a positive inflation rate. According to figures calculated by Statistics Sweden, consumer prices went up by 0.9 percent in December.

Higher electricity prices (+3.1 percent) as well as increased costs for charter travels (+4.8 percent) contributed to the growing inflation. Analysts had previously expected a slightly lower inflation rate in December.
