Fmr. Politician Bo Holmberg Dead

The former county governor of Sörmland, Bo Holmberg, has died at the age of 67. His family confirmed that Holmberg died on Thursday, the news agency TT reports. The Social Democratic politician had several assignments in his political career: he was a government minister from 1982 to 1988 and a member of parliament until 1996. From then until 2005 Holmberg served as Sörmland’s county governor. He was the widower of Foreign Minister Anna Lindh who was murdered in a Stockholm department store in 2003. The couple had two sons.
