Apartment Building Evacuated

A nine storey building in the Gothenburg area was evacuated on Friday morning due to fears that the roof was about to collapse under the weight of heavy snow .

Rescue services were called to the block of flats in Kallebäck after residents noticed water was leaking from the building's flat roof.

Around 70 people were evacuated while the building was checked out and they returned several hours later after the all clear was given.

The walls of the building were found to contain damp but there was no danger that the roof would collapse.
