Economic ups and downs

Sweden’s gross national product has shrunk by 1.5 percent the last quarter of 2009 compared to the same period of the previous year. Sweden Statistics announced that all four quarter losses combined amount to a 4.9 percent GNP drop for the entire year. According to the bureau this was the worst setback since the end of the Second World War.

After the new figures were published the Swedish Crown was traded weaker against the Dollar and the Euro.
