37,000 Iraqis Vote in Sweden

While the elections in Iraq this Sunday were marked by violence thousands of Iraqi expatriates in 16 countries around the world voted in more peaceful circumstances. In Sweden nearly 37.000 Iraqis cast their vote at the country's seven polling stations during the three day voting period.

Also Iraqi expatriates living in Finland and Norway had to travel great distances to cast their vote queuing for several hours in the cold.

We went to a polling station to speak to voters and also interviewed the elections logistics manager Shamel al Hachami. Click at the link to listen to the report.
