Wolves Blamed for Killing Livestock

Swedish authorities reveal the latest statistics on compensation for livestock killed by predators – blaming the wolf for 71% of the costs.

24% of the funds cover attacks from bears and five per cent for the lynx.

   

The controversy continues here over restoring the once almost extinct wolf to the Swedish forests, with the government approving the culling of 26 wolves from the total of around 200.
