Three Million Swedes Don't Use Internet

A third of the Swedish population either doesn't use the Internet at all or uses it very seldom, a report released by the Foundation for Internet Infrastructure (.SE) holds.

These non-Internet users come from all classes of society, although people with low levels of education and the long-term unemployed are overrepresented in the statistics.

Danny Aerts, director of the .SE foundation, wrote in a press release that society has to take responsibility for the three million Swedes who need a "digital knowledge lift," citing that digital competence has become necessary for both dealing with authorities and entering the job market.
