Ash Cloud Returns to Sweden

The volcanic ash cloud returned to Sweden on Wednesday, beginning over central parts and extending to the airspace over southern Norrland, Svealand and northern Götaland later in the afternoon.

All flights taking off or landing through the zone 2 affected airspace, which includes the airports of Arlanda, Bromma and Skavsta, must be granted permission by the Swedish Transport Agency.

Luftfartsverket predicts that the conditions will last until 2am on Thursday. Another updated was expected 9pm Wednesday.
