Swedish Politicians Turn to Social Media

Influenced by the American Obama victory credited with making pioneering use of the social media, Swedish politicians are turning to Face book, twitters and blogs to capture votes in the September local and parliamentary elections here.

A Swedish Radio survey says there is indeed interest among the politicians – both in the ruling center-right government coalition parties and among the opposition parties eager to gain power.
