School Summer Break Could be History

The long summer break that many Swedish students are used to taking can soon become a memory. Both the center-right government and opposition parties are considering adding a third term. Supporters hope that would shorten the time that students are in school.

Tobias Krantz, Minister for Higher Education, told daily newspaper Dagens Nyheter that taking away the summer break would be difficult to do. Sweden and Denmark have the oldest students on average in the world.
