One of World's Fastest Sprinter Begs Out of Stockholm Race

Updated 3:38 PM

The world's three fastest men were supposed to race in Stockholm, one of the stops in the Diamond League 2010 series of track and field events. But now, only two of them will be present.

On Wednesday, the Jamaican sprinter Asafa Powell withdrew from the DN-galan, scheduled for August 6, due to injuries. However, his fellow countryman Usain Bolt has already arrived in the Swedish capital. He met fans and signed autographs in central Stockholm where hundreds lined up to catch a glimpse.

Bolt will compete against the American Tyson Gay.
