Help for Relatives of Military Abroad

The Swedish military has decided to set up a special fund to provide information and consultation for relatives of Swedish troops serving abroad.

Critics say so far no consideration has been given to those worried about long absences between family and the soldiers - especially for families with children.

Also, no services so far have been provided for those family members struggling in cases where returning soldiers have been wounded or suffered from battlefield trauma - often with the ex-military men and women unwilling to talk about their negative experiences.
