Government propose 2011 budget

The government will focus on supportive measures to help the Sweden’s recovering economy and aim to decrease unemployment. That was the message on Tuesday morning when Minister of Finance Anders Borg presented the centre-right Alliance’s suggested budget.

The budget proposition gives projects a bright future for the Swedish economy, Swedish Radio news reports.

The centre-right government parties continue their focus on fighting unemployment which is expected to fall from 8.4 percent to under 8 percent next year the government's goal is that unemployment falls to 6 percent by 2014.

The proposal also includes at least 1 billion dollar in tax cuts to pensioners which is about 200 million more than what was promised in the election campaign.
