Future Warnings on Ice-covered Highways

New research at the Swedish Highway Traffic Institute indicates that it might be possible for motorists to spot frost and ice on the roads before they get there.

Tests in simulators lshow that the driver can get a few seconds warning about slipppery conditions ahead – and put on the brakes before he hits the ice and slides off the road.
