Bragdguld to Anja Pärson

Alpine skier Anja Pärson has won Sweden’s top sports award for her gold and two bronze medals at the Turin Olympics. 

The 25-year-old won the ”Bragdguld” medal which is awarded annually by newspaper Svenska Dagbladet. 

Pärson came first in the slalom event at the Winter Games in February and took bronze in the downhill and combined. 

Pärson, a two-time overall World Cup champion, also won two Olympic medals at the 2002 Salt Lake City Games.
