Japanese Emperor To Visit Sweden

The Japanese Emperor Akihito will visit Sweden next May to attend events commemorate the 300th anniversary of the birth of Carl Linnaeus, the Swedish botanist and zoologist known as the father of modern taxonomy.

Akihito is known for his interest in the taxonomy of gobies fish and is an honourary member of the Linnean Society of London.
