Swedish Company To Build New York Football Stadium

Swedish construction company Skanska AB has said it’s received a 998 million US dollar order to design and build a new football stadium for the New York Giants and the New York jets.

The open air stadium in New Jersey will seat 82 thousand and include 217 luxury executive boxes. The stadium’s expected to open in 2010. Skanska said that the contract with the Meadowlands NFL Football Stadium LLC was its largest U.S. contract yet. The Swedish company, which is also participating in building of the new baseball stadium for the New York Yankees, will include it in its order bookings in the first quarter.
