Religious holidays shouldn’t just be for Christians

There are calls for Sweden’s public holidays to be made ”religion neutral” so people of different faiths can take them when they want.

The demand comes from Almega, an organisation which supports service companies, and from the Swedish Federation of Consulting Engineers and Architects.

They say it is strange that non-Christians have to have the day off work to mark days like the Ephipany, when Shi’ite Muslims for example, would prefer to be free for Ashura.
