Many children at risk from paedophiles online

A Swedish organisation which set up a website to try to stop children being conned into chatting online to adults says the problem is a lot worse than it thought.

The site, squill.se, allows children to check a web-user’s alias to see if others have suspicions that they might not be who they say they are.

The Children’s Rights in Society group, which helps young people in distress, says it has had more than 60,000 entries to the database since it was set up three months ago.
