Impressive 7 medals for Sweden as Ski Championships ends

Sweden finished the World Alpine Ski Championships in second place on Sunday, after being knocked off the top of the medals table by Austria.

It followed Austria’s victory in the closing nations team event in Åre, in northern Sweden, which left them with 3 medals of each colour.

Sweden came second in the event and finished overall with three gold, two silver and two bronze medals.

25 year old Anja Pärson won all of Sweden’s golds, in the Downhill, Super-G and Super Combined events, and took silver in the team event and a Slalom bronze.
