Refugees Denied Identity Cards in Sweden

Swedish bureacracy has made life even more difficult for some refugees in this Nordic nation.

New year changes in the national bank system has made it harder for refugees to get an identity card. This means that many are being denied standard social services – and even those ordered to report to a hospital for a check-up are unable to get treatment because of the lack of an ID card.
