Rare Artifact from Sixth Century

A rare sixth century find by an amateur archaeologist in Sättuna, outside Linköping, has excited the scientific community here in Sweden.

Found with the help of a metal detector, the patrix which was used to emboss pieces of gold with the image of a troll-like woman, is one of seven of its kind found in Scandinavia.
