Protesters calling on the head of Vetlanda social services to resign

Second Case of Abuse in Vetlanda

A second beaten and raped girl whose case was ignored by social welfare authorities, has been reported in the small southern Swedish town of Vetlanda.

The accused offender is the girl’s stepfather. The report comes shortly after the revelation of an earlier case of a young girl sexually and physcially abused by her father, who despite complaints to the authorities was denied help for years.

One lcoal social welfare offiical has sick-listed himself and another changed jobs after a TV documentary led to public protests over the lack of action.
