Terror Exercise Criticised as Anti-Moslem

A planned crisis management exercise, involving a simulated terrorist attack in Stockholm, is being criticised by Sweden’s Green Party as Islamaphobic.

The Swedish Emergency Management Agency’s scenario involves terrorists from the fictitious country of ”Bogaland” using weapons of mass destruction on the city’s public transportation system.

The ”Bogalanders” live in Stockholm’s suburbs and belong to a religion which is split into two factions, and they’re fighting against the occupation of their holy land.

The Green Party’s Yvonne Ruwaida and Mehmet Kaplan say the parallels with Moslems and Islam are obvious and the exercise will strengthen beliefs that Moslems are a threat to Swedish society and will increase discrimination against them.
