It’s a Twister

Meteorologists say they’re surprised by the strength of a tornado which hit a village in central Sweden yesterday, ripping up trees, trapping people in their cars and cutting power supplies.

The police say almost every road in central Virsbo was blocked and emergency services had to saw through trees before they could get into the village.

Tornados are rare in Sweden and only happen around once a season.
