Plenty of Fish in the Sea?

”There are plenty of fish in the sea,” is a rather outdated saying.

The International Council for the Exploration of the Sea has released a report voicing concern over a significant drop in the number of herring in the North Sea, Skagerrak and Kattegat.

The Swedish Board of Fisheries says the development is worrying and therefore a recommendation is being tabled to reduce catches by 40 percent. Sweden’s representative at The International Council for the Exploration of the Sea is hopeful that a good result can be achieved relatively quickly.
