Opposition Lead Increases

The center-right alliance parties which govern Sweden are continuing to see a drop in support among voters, according to a new opinion poll.

Statistics Sweden says the opposition Social Democrats, Left Party and Green Party together have 55.4 percent support, while the Conservative Moderates, Center, Liberal Party, and the Christian Democrats are at 40.6 percent. That’s an increase of 9.1 per cent for the opposition since the election in September.

All four government parties have seen support fall since the last Statistics Sweden poll in November, the only increase is for the Social Democrats, which is up 4.6 per cent to 45 percent.
