One-Third Want to Change Jobs

One-third of Swedish employees want to exchange their jobs within a year, according to a survey commissioned by the pensions administrator Alecta.

The TT news agency reports that the eighteen to thirty year-old age group is the most keen to swap jobs - some 40% of those young workers are keen for a change. Older employees are a little less frustrated - 35 per cent of thirty-one to forty-five year-olds expressed a desire to move on.

Most of those questioned say they hope a change will provide them with extra income, but working hours, education possibilities, bonuses and more vacation time are also listed as influential factors when Swedish employees consider changing jobs.
