An SAS spokeswoman told Reuters that all but one or two of the 27 turboprops have been examined. The investigations followed crashes on landing on flights to Denmark and Lithuania earlier this month.
No one was injured in either incident.
SAS says it didn’t discover the landing gear problem until now because the components involved were not included in the manufacturer’s maintenance program.
All of the airline’s Dash-8’s are grounded at least until all of the landing gear have been replaced, and the accident investigation board releases its report.
