The CIA plane which took the men to Egypt left from Stockholm's Bromma Airport

Wrongly Deported - Can’t Return

The chances for one of the two Egyptians wrongly deported from Sweden to Egypt in 2001 of getting a Swedish residence permit seem to have gotten even smaller.

This time the Migration Court has recommended against the man getting a permit to live in Sweden. The government is to decide on his case in a few weeks, and the reasons for the Migration Court’s recommendation are classified.

The two men had been handed over to U.S. agents at Bromma Airport six years ago, after which they were sent back to Egypt and imprisoned on terrorism charges. Both men claim they were tortured.
