Today it’s the turn of the Chemists to bathe in Nobel Prize glory, we’ll have all the info on this year’s laureate.

We pay another visit to Scandinavia’s largest Book Fair, in Sweden’s second city, Gothenburg.

And of course, the latest on other news stories hitting the headlines in Sweden.

Gerhard Ertl of Germany has won this year’s US $1.5 million Nobel Prize in Chemistry, for his work on chemical processes on solid surfaces. Radio Sweden’s George Wood was at the announcement at the Royal Swedish Academy of Science, and spoke to Nobel committee member Professor Sven Lidin.
The giant book and library fair in the Swedish west coast city of Gothenberg is the biggest annual cultural event in the Nordic area.
Radio Sweden’s Bill Schiller met with some of the participants promoting literature and politics, including those organizing future events when Latvia and Spain will be in the main spotlight at this seminar- and music-filled happening.
