Aid Organisation to Investigate Corruption

The Swedish International Development Agency, SIDA, is to investigate several of its aid projects following a highly critical report from The Swedish National Audit Office.

The report said that several of SIDA projects were heavily hit by corruption. SIDA is now to carry out its own investigations in the 4 African countries where the alleged corruption is said to occurred, they are also to look at ways to recoup the swindled aid money. They are not counting out the possibility of legal action if necessary.
