Inside Sweden

No real surprises as this year’s Nobel Peace Prize goes to former US Vice-President and environmental campaigner Al Gore and the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.

And today sees the start of Eid-Ul-Fitr, the end of Ramadan, and thousands of muslims across Sweden will be celebrating for 3 whole days.

This year’s Nobel Peace Prize has been awarded to Al Gore and the IPCC, ”for their efforts to build up and disseminate greater knowledge about man-made climate change, and to lay the foundations for the measures that are needed to counteract such change”.
