Marriage Advert Upsets Gay Campaigners

An advert in the Stockholm Underground is causing controversy among gay groups, as it aims to get people to sign a petition to protest against changes to Sweden’s marriage legislation.

The Poster shows a heart with an arrow through it surrounded by the words ”Save Marriage” and ”Mum Dad Kid”, and has been put up by a group of evangelical Christians.

The Swedish Federation for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Rights says it has been getting calls protesting against the posters ever since they went up and says that they are homophobic, and Stockholm Green Party Councillor Yvonne Ruweida wants Stockholm’s Transport Authority to take the ads down.

Stockholm Transport say they see no reason to remove the posters.
