SAS Grounds Troubled Planes

Scandinavian Airlines has permanently grounded all its DASH Q 400 planes after yet another mishap this week-end when a landing wheel failed to extend properly in Copenhagen – letting a wing touch the runway.

No one was hurt.   The decision is greatly affecting transportation especially in Denmark.

The airlines – owned jointly by Sweden, Denmark and Norway – temporarily grounded the plane earlier after several other incidents involving landing equipment.
