Flights to Northern Iraq Can Resume

The Swedish Civil Aviation Authority will allow Viking Airlines to resume flights to northern Iraq after a six month ban.

All flights to Iraq were grounded in August after Nordic Airways pilots reported that the airliner they were flying had been fired upon.

Viking Airlines is the sole company included in the relaxing of the ban and their new permit stretches until the 29th of March.

Flights should be taking off as early as next week.
