Absolut-ly On Sale

Only four companies are now left in the fight to buy Sweden’s state owned alcohol giant Vin och Sprit.

According to the financial daily, Dagens Industri, they will now have to carry out a due diligence, an in-depth study of the company, and then submit final offers.

Over 20 companies were originally in the running to buy the company, which includes world famous Absolut Vodka among its brands, but now only 4 are left, including French Pernod Ricard, and Bacardi. Vin och Sprit is being sold off in accordance with the centre-right government’s privatisation policies.
