Faulty Breathalysers show Higher Drunk Driving

Several hundred people may have been wrongly accused of drunk-driving after police discovered faults in several alcohol meters all over the country.

People who were breathalysed between December 2007 and March 2008 would have received too high alcohol values with these faulty instruments.  At this point it is not clear if anyone has been sent to prison as a result and the police are working hard to find out which drivers were affected.
