Reinfeldt to Discuss Human Rights with China?

Published måndag 7 april 2008 kl 11.44
PM Fredrik Reinfeldt

Ahead of his visit in China, Swedish Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt is being confronted with calls to take up the human rights issue. Opposition leader Mona Sahlin of the Social Democrats maintains Reinfeldt’s trip to Beijing would be useless if he does not speak openly about the violation of human rights in China. But for the time being, Reinfeldt refuses to determine which issues he will bring up and how he intends to discuss them with China’s leaders.
