Successful Swedish Obesity-Study

A new Swedish study seems to have found a way to fight obesity.

Medical magazine “Nature” quotes scientists of the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm as saying that children aged younger than five can have the predisposition to get obesity later in their lives.

The decisive factor is the actual amount of fat cells a body has. Earlier, scientists believed that the size of the fat cells was relevant.

Now, the Swedish scientists hope to develop a method that prevents the body’s dieing fat cells from being replaced – which could lead to an effective pharmaceutical against obesity.
