4.3 Million File Tax Return on the Web

Monday was the last day for Swedes to file their tax returns.

As every year local tax offices were expecting long queues of people trying to file their papers in the very last moment.

According to figures calculated by the tax authorities, some 4.3 million Swedes will file their tax returns on the Internet, by phone or by sending an SMS. This is an increase of 1.2 million compared to the previous year.

Not surprisingly, especially young people use modern techniques to file their tax returns, whereas a vast majority of pensioners still stick to filling in the standard paper forms.
